Course Objectives


JCM Institute offers a 145-hour Illinois Department of Health approved Nursing Assistant (Aide) course designed to prepare the learner to function safely and effectively as a care provider in Long Term facilities, hospital, residence, and other care settings. The classroom is fully equipped to meet the needs of students and instructors. The classroom and nursing skills laboratory portion is conducted in the JCM Institute in Schaumburg, Illinois, the largest economic center outside Chicago. The clinical portion of the course is conducted in area nearby long-term facilities. Classes will be offered on days, evenings, Saturdays and Sundays to accommodate all types of students. Our school is close to the expressway, restaurants, shops, and Schaumburg library. The program will be offered in several off-campus sites as well such as other areas in Chicago and Suburbs, each program has its own program number approved by the Illinois Department of Health, Nurse Aide Training Division as well as Illinois State Board of Education. Upon successful completion of the Program, the individual is eligible to take the State of Illinois Nursing Assistant Competency Examination

Pre-Requisites

     Students seeking admission to BASIC NURSE
     TRAINING PROGRAM Training:

      Complete an application form
      Have finished at least 8th grade
      Must be at least 17 years old
      Provide a copy photo ID and SSN card
      Reading/ Writing Comprehension Skill Test
      Must be in good Physical health.
